Looked after, all year, by the people who fitted it.
Your electrics, solar, battery and EV charger looked after by the people who fit them. One annual visit, proper reports, the front of the queue and a member rate when you need us. From £8 a month.
What it is
A service plan. Not insurance.
Most home plans are insurance with a service bolted on, and the price jumps at renewal. DUAL Care is
the other way round. You pay a fixed monthly amount for the things that should happen anyway: an
annual inspection and test, a written report, someone reviewing the monitoring, the front of the
diary when something trips, and £40 an hour instead of £59.99 when we
do come out. If a part fails we quote it; we do not pretend it is free.
DUAL Care is a service agreement. It is not a contract of insurance and is not regulated by the
Financial Conduct Authority. The full terms are short and in plain English:
read them here.
Member labour rate
£40 an hour for any call-out, repair or upgrade, and 10% off parts. Non-members pay £59.99 an hour on a call-out and £50 for booked work. One-hour minimum, no call-out premium.
Priority booking
A fault reported by 2 pm is seen the next working day. No power or a burning smell reported before noon is seen the same day. Everything else goes in the diary ahead of non-members.
Written reports you can keep
Every visit ends in a report you can show an insurer, a buyer, a tenant or a tribunal. We keep a copy with your job record.
Someone who knows the system
The same firm that designed and fitted it. If we did not fit it, the first visit is an inspection and you join once it passes.

Straight answers
What the plan does not do.
We would rather you knew before you joined. DUAL Care does not include repairs, parts or replacement
kit; those are quoted at the member rate. It does not include panel cleaning or bird-proofing,
because roof access sets that price; members get 15% off. It does not include scaffold or
out-of-hours visits. And if your system fails its first inspection, you join once the urgent items
are put right.
Why we built it
In 2026 one of the biggest battery brands in the country went into administration and stopped
honouring its warranties. Owners were left with kit and no manufacturer behind it. Solar sits on a
roof in Fife weather for twenty-five years; a battery works every day for ten; a charger lives on a
wall in the rain. They deserve the same annual look a boiler gets. The people best placed to give it
are the ones who designed and fitted the system, and that is what this plan is.

Tell us what you have. We do the rest.
This form is a request, not an order. We confirm the plan in a welcome pack with the payment details,
your plan starts on the date of that confirmation, and we book the first visit. If we did not fit
your system, that first visit is the inspection. You can change your mind within 14 days of the
start date.

FAQ
DUAL Care questions
Is DUAL Care insurance?
No. It is a service agreement: scheduled inspections and tests, written reports, priority booking and member rates. It is not a contract of insurance and is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. If something breaks, we come out at the member rate and quote any parts. What you are paying for is the checking, the paperwork, the queue and the price.
What happens when something goes wrong between visits?
You call or message and get booked as priority. The visit is charged at £40 an hour with a one-hour minimum, parts at 10% off, and anything beyond a quick fix is quoted in writing first. Non-members pay £59.99 an hour for a call-out; members pay £40, with no call-out premium.
Can I join if you did not install my system?
Yes. The first visit is an inspection. If the system passes, you are in. If it needs work first, we quote it at the member rate and you decide. Repairs to another installer's work carry their own guarantee, separate from the plan.
My battery or inverter brand has gone into administration. Does this help?
It is the main reason we built the plan. We can test the system, read its health from the portal, keep the firmware current, and tell you honestly what it is doing. We cannot supply parts under a warranty that is no longer honoured, but we can quote replacements and keep the rest of the system earning in the meantime.
What does "priority" actually mean?
Members go ahead of non-members in the diary. A fault reported by 2 pm is seen the next working day. No power or a burning smell reported before noon is seen the same day. We say "seen", not "fixed", because parts sometimes have to be ordered.
How do I pay?
Monthly by standing order, or annually by bank transfer with eleven months charged for twelve. Direct Debit is on its way. We send the details with your welcome pack, and we never take card details over the phone.
When does it start, and can I cancel?
The form on this page is a request, not an order. Your plan starts on the date of the confirmation in your welcome pack, and nothing is owed before then. You can cancel within 14 days of that date, for any reason, and we refund what you have paid, less a fair share if you asked us to visit in that time. After that the first term is twelve months, then it rolls monthly and you can leave with 30 days' notice. If you paid annually we refund the unused whole months. The one exception: if we did your included EICR and you leave within twelve months of it, we charge the difference between its standalone price (from £200) and the plan fees you have paid.
What if I sell the house?
The new owner can take the plan over on the same terms at no cost, with the reports. A current EICR and solar verification report are useful things to hand over with the keys.
Does the plan include cleaning the panels?
No, because roof access decides the cost of a clean and we will not guess it. Members get 15% off cleaning and bird-proofing, quoted after we have seen the roof.
