Dual Electrical Services started as a single-van electrical contracting business in Glenrothes. As customers started asking about solar, batteries and EV chargers, we trained up, got accredited, and grew into a full dual-discipline installer — electrical work and renewable energy under one roof.

How we work
Every installer website says the same things. These are the four we try to live by, and the ones customers tell us show up in the work.
Every quote is written down, itemised, and capped. If something genuinely unexpected comes up mid-job, we stop and talk — we don't just add it to the bill.
If solar isn't right for your roof, we'll tell you. If a battery won't pay back in 10 years on your tariff, we'll tell you. Every installer says they don't hard-sell; we actually mean it.
We live in Fife. If something goes wrong, you know where to find us. Most of our customers came from word-of-mouth — we need that to keep working.
MCS-certified, NAPIT-registered, RECC-backed. Full paperwork, full warranty paths, full consumer protection. No dodgy no-name panels sold at half price and a cowboy job.
Meet the team
Six of us in the field, two in the office. Same team that quotes the job is the team that turns up to do it — no subbed-out crews, no rotating faces.
Partner / Project Manager
Powered entirely by Irn-Bru and whatever mood he woke up in. Monday you can’t shut him up — he’s telling you about his weekend, his dog, his theory about solar panels. Tuesday he’ll walk past you like you’re furniture. Nobody knows which Steven’s turning up on any given day, including Steven. One thing’s consistent though — the work’s always spot on, whether he’s narrating it or doing it in total silence.
Partner / Business Ops
Spends most of his time “managing” — which as far as anyone can tell means making phone calls from the van and claiming he taught the lads everything they know. Has never once been caught doing any actual work, but somehow everything runs fine. Suspicious.
Lead Electrician
Built like a Polish bouncer, which is handy for getting batteries up stairs but slightly alarming for customers answering the door for the first time. Don’t worry — he’s a gentle giant who’ll take his boots off without being asked. Sharpest eye on the team for spotting problems before they start. Just don’t arm wrestle him.
Electrician
First to arrive, last to leave, and eats enough to bankrupt the company biscuit fund — yet still has an eight-pack. Scientists should be studying him. Has been caught multiple times sneaking Irn-Brus from Steven’s stash, which is either very brave or very stupid. The rest of the lads have started hiding snacks from him out of pure spite.
Technician
Runs on coffee and absolutely no sense of urgency. If you’re expecting a quick job, John is not your man. If you’re expecting a perfect one, he absolutely is. Works at the speed of a tortoise who’s in no particular rush to get anywhere — but when he’s done, the finish is immaculate. Not a cable out of place, not a scuff on the wall. You’ll forget he took all day when you see the result. Just keep the kettle on.
Apprentice Electrician
Somewhere in Callum’s head, he’s chasing butterflies through a field of dreams with Morrissey playing in the background. In reality, he’s on your roof wiring solar panels in the rain. Don’t let the daydreamer act fool you — he’s one of the keenest and most conscientious on the team. Double-checks everything, tidies up after himself.
